Albany - Burgoyne Road

11 Jan 2022

Progress shots of my Burgoyne Road design project in Albany.  This classic 1950s harbourside home perched high on Mount Clarence needed some TLC.  What I loved most about the former home was the tiny sunroom overlooking Princess Royal Harbour (it was just too tiny to be functional).  Extending the width of the sunroom and opening-up internal spaces has resulted in minimal intervention to the building's character. Asbestos has been removed from the site and the entire exterior has been clad in timber.  The new roof has solar panels and large water tanks have been located under the house.  Great job by Walmsley Building - ancillary dwelling and landscaping to follow.  For interior photos go to my Instagram feed - icon located above right.
