Wilyabrup Melaleuca, 2025
oil and beeswax on canvas
140 x 135 cm
Wilyabrup Melaleuca responds to a familiar section of the Cape to Cape Track in WA’s southwest. Through layered, sweeping marks in oil and beeswax, I aim to convey the raw presence of this landscape – wind, scrub, and shifting ocean. A place that feels wild and alive – where, for a moment, the weight and noise of global uncertainty and environmental fragility is temporarily silenced.
